About

Mitchell Mayo, BCO, BADO, was born and raised in western Kansas. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, he moved to Charleston, South Carolina, to be trained as an ocularist. He apprenticed under the well-known Henderlite’s, who have been making ocular prosthetics for over 60 years. After working with the Henderlite’s for several years, Mitch decided to open his own practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2002.

Mitch truly enjoys his profession and the ability to help others. He is well loved and respected by his patients. He has taught numerous times to ophthalmic professionals and also appeared on Discovery Health’s, ‘Plastic Surgery: Before and After’ in 2004.

He loves to spend his free time with his wife and two sons.
